Why we say No to Plastic?

Say "No" to Plastic and save the Earth

We are literally living in a plastic world. A recent research estimates show that around two million plastic bags are used every minute around the world, with less than 3% being recycled globally.
Say no to plastic
Plastic is non-biodegradable substances that do not degrade in soil and cause soil pollution. If we throw the plastic (Bags) in water, on the street, or if we dump the plastic bags in the ground then all the living organisms will get affected due to plastic. We should say no to plastic bags because these bags are made by 'non-biodegradable' material.

Plastic in any quality or of any form is harmful to health. In a perfect world if we want to avoid exposure to all forms (Type) of plastic. Considering plastic lurks in every corner of our lives, vanishing it completely seems unrealistic and impractical.
But we can start with more awareness about the little ways with which we can reduce (lessen) our exposure to plastic. This can go a long way in reducing toxicity, cancer, hormonal imbalance, infertility, PCOS, obesity, and acidosis.

Plastic is harmful to our environment-

We must have observed that grocery shops these days do not use plastic bags. They hand out all your things in either cloth bags or paper bags. So what happened to the plastic bags that we used? There is a reason plastic is slowly disappearing. In fact, it is a conscious effort by everyone as plastic is very harmful to our environment. Of course.
Don't use Plastic

Whenever we throw something like paper, leaves, food peels, etc there are small tiny creatures in nature then the bacteria – who eat these things up or turn them into useful products that nature loves.  These things are called ‘Biodegradable’.
‘Non-Biodegradable‘things, on the other hand, like plastic, steel, and glass – can't be turned into useful, nature-friendly products. The bacteria just can’t eat them up or break them up.

Wood More Sustainable Than Plastic

Ultimately, whether the wood is more sustainable than plastic depends on the application it is being used for, and how it’s sourced, produced and managed on a product or item case by case basis. For example, they might be used as a raw Or treated building materials or they may be further fabricated to make furniture, doors and other processed items But, general sustainability consideration for wood vs. plastic the material might be:-

1. Sourcing of Materials: –

Wood comes from a natural and renewable resource, which can also be sourced from sustainably managed stock trees. Plastic, on the other hand, is a synthetic material sourced from fossil fuel feedstock.

2. Production: -

Wood may come out ahead in several environmental indicators (such as energy consumption/carbon footprint) compared to plastic in the production stage. Although there may be some indicators where plastic is more eco-friendly in the production process depending on the wood it is being compared to.

3. Transport and Delivery:-

Plastic may have a lesser eco-footprint when it comes to transport and delivery because it tends to be a far lighter (lightweight) material.

4. Waste Management:-

Wood is an organic material that has greater potential for re-use and recycling compared to most plastics.

5. Pollution:-

wood is biodegradable and when it becomes waste, it has less potential to create problems associated with pollution but Plastic is not biodegradable, takes a long time to break down, and causes other issues in the environment as mismanaged waste.

8. Impact on Wild Life & Environment:-

Plastic is harmful because it is Non-Biodegradable. When we threw on land it makes the soil less fertile. When thrown in water it chokes our rivers, ponds, and oceans and harms the sea life. If animals eat plastic, it gets stuck in their stomach and makes them sick, because the bacteria in their tummy (stomach) cannot break the plastic up into smaller pieces, but wood is totally environment eco-friendly.
